Scenecrest Sanguine a Morgan Stallion with very special qualities that make you appreciate the Morgan Horse. |
Helen Steyaret Ray--Painted the above portrait of Scenecrest Sanguine We are very proud of this painting she captured Sanguine which shows the remarkable talent of the artist that painted it. |
My favorite Morgan horse of all time is Cornwallis. Having seen him in a home movie made into a video, I have to believe him to be one of the best Stallions of all time. Cornwallis was a horse of old Vermont Breeding! His sire Sealect grandsire was Ethan Allen 3rd. His dam's grandsire was the well known horse Donald. Cornwallis sired Pecos who sired several greats one being Sealect of Windcrest, when bred to Windcrest Dona Lee! Windcrest Dona Lee, was one of the greatest show mares that ever lived. Seneca Sweetheart a daughter of Cornwallis went on to sire the great stallion Windcrest Donfield by Upwey Ben Don. Donfield was The National In-Hand Champion Stallion 1953 and 1957-1960. Along with National titles in Park Saddle and Park Harness was carried on his line to prove they are horses that can do it all. They process some of the best Morgan blood of all time. Sanguine is a linebred stallion to Cornwallis through 2 Crosses to Pecos and 1 cross Seneca Sweetheart! |
Springtyme Sealect Sanguine's Sire Berrien Springs Class A Show |
Sire: Applevale Don Lee (Sealect of Windcrest X Windcrest Dona Lee) Dam : Spring Breeze ( Jubilee Courage X Springfield Penny) |
Another of my favorites is Jubliee King! Sanguine has 5 crosses to him through Jubilee Courage his great-grandsire, Sealect of Windcrest, Pukwana and Funquest Fastella! |
Sanguine has the Pecos look, width between his large eyes with a short chistled head. The smooth topline, strong hip and correct legs and feet of Jubilee King, an over all correct horse. |
