OUR TRIBUTE TO FOUNDATION STALLION
SPRINGTYME SEALECT
April 21-1973-October 14-2003
Sealect was the greatest horse I have ever known, there was never a time I asked him to do something he didn't do
it. He was a very special horse that would let the smallest child ride him he was a one of a kind stallion. While my
boys were growing up he always showed the kindness temperament towards them, babysat them and took care.
Applevale Don Lee

His sire was Sealect of Windcrest a Pecos son, a show stallion that beat out Waseeka
Nocturne in Harness. His dam was Windcrest Dona Lee an extraordinary show mare
of all time. Sealect and Dona Lee both had several show foals that are carried on in
todays lines.
Spring Breeze

Spring Breeze(dam of Helen of Troy by Ulendon)
Her sire was Jubilee Courage a Jubilee King son. Everyone has heard of this Brunk bred
stallion. Her dam Springfield Penny a Springfield daughter. Springfield's sire was
Lippitt Sam, his dam was Paragraph. Springfield Penny's dam was Lusealect was by
Sealect out of a Troubadour of Willow Daughter.
Springtyme Sealect's Painting above was done
by Helen Steyaert Ray.
The above Horses are what has made the Morgan Horse Special
Most have been pictured in the Morgan Horse magazine, throughout the
years. They have Winning Park Horses Under Saddle and Harness,
Pleasure Horses, and the family friend that live in our hearts forever, for
generations to come. Bred by dedicated breeders that themselves will
never be forgotten.
The making of a great sire is the ability to
pass on his likeness. Springtyme Sealect has
been that kind of Stallion, as can be seen in
Scenecrest Sanguine. As seen in the stallions
in Sanguine's past. We hope to continue to
produce just that kind of horses in the future.
Their are alot of Stallions out there, but not
all have the prepotency to pass on their
likeness.

I have learned from reading these books and
magazines visiting farms going to Morgan
Horse Shows throughout the last 34 years.. The
success of any breeder is to know what
bloodlines to cross and not to. Looking at
photos and visiting farms with the different
bloodlines will help you with deciding the lines
that appeal to you. Everyone has their idea of
what a Morgan should be. No two people agree
on everything or like the same horse. The most
important thing is to breed the best Morgan
regardless of the lines we chose. A sound
horse with excellent temperment that looks
Morgan is what we should strive for. Through
the years I have tried to place the horses I  bred
with the right person for that horse. So, far it
has worked out just that way. I have had
several people come back and buy a second
horse. Each time, they have bought a full sister
of brother to the first horse.
